Our
LEARN SYRIAC Multimedia application is a multimedia user friendly Windows
based application. This application is meant for English, Arabic and Dutch
natives who are interested in learning Syriac. Later versions will include
Italian, German, Swedish and French. LEARN SYRIAC uses 2 different methods
as developed and used since years by the Friends of the Syriac Language
Association: The first method teaches Syriac in alphabetical order showing
for each alphabet (22 alphabets) 5 different pictures with embedded sound
files of the words encountered in ENGLISH or DUTCH/SYRIAC/ARABIC. The second
method teaches Syriac in lessons showing first most easiest and used alphabets
(like olaph and beet) till the most difficult letters). Here also 5 different
pictures with embedded sound files of the words encountered in ENGLISH or
DUTCH/SYRIAC/ARABIC are shown. There are also several modules for the vowels,
grammar, vocabulary, prayers, hymns, writing syriac, city and persons names,
Daily Conversations, prepositions, Time and numbers and much more. |
