Our Story

What is the philosophy that drives BARSOUM ENGINEERING BE ? We believe that no matter where you go, you should always be able to enjoy communicating the Syriac language in a comfortable environment. At home, reading the morning paper. At your local Organization , conversing with a confidant. Or perhaps in some foreign land, BE will be serving you like an old friend. After all, our Language has been spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Where we began

Gabro Barsoum (son of the priest) lived a sheltered life in a small village in Kharpout, Turkey. As a child, he listened to Syriac stories of his grandfather Barsoum’s expeditions to the Mor Barsoum Monastry in Malatya. Often his grandfather would talk about scarce documents and scrolls found in the cave below the Monastry.

These stories has brought the grandsons of Barsoum to learn Syriac and specialize ion Information Technology to try to uncover the truth behind those scrolls.
